New Year and Birthday Honours lists of Queen Victoria
Since the mid-19th century, the New Year and Birthday Honours lists have been published in The Gazette, the UK’s official public record.
These Honours lists are the most significant announcements of civilian and military gallantry awards and are still published in The Gazette twice a year, at New Year and on the sovereign’s official birthday.
This dataset of PDF documents includes all New Year Honours lists and Birthday Honours lists, including the Diamond Jubilee Honours list and Golden Jubilee Honours list, published in The London Gazette during the reign of Queen Victoria from 1860 to 1901.
About The Gazette
Since 1665 The Gazette has been the UK’s official public record and is now formally the combination of three publications: The London Gazette, The Belfast Gazette and The Edinburgh Gazette. These are the UK's official journals of record.
